In questo periodo, nel quale 5 nostri Diplomatici di accingono a rappresentare il S.O. presso gli Organismi internazionali (Cancun), siamo chiamati a dare la nostra testimonianza, offrendo anche il nostro punto di vista, per altri impegni di notevole importanza mondiale.

Quindi, per favore, vogliate valutare le vostre disponibilità e comunicare alla segreteria Magistrale le Vostre possibilità di partecipazione ai seguenti appuntamenti delle Nazioni Unite, onde consentire al Consiglio di dare le opportune deleghe.

"PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THE OCEAN CONFERENCE (5-9 June 2017) NOW OPEN

Pre-registration is required by eligible and interested representatives of NGOs and major groups identified in Agenda 21 to participate in the high-level United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development – the Ocean Conference – to be convened in New York, from 5 to 9 June 2017. 

Pre-registration is open from 27 March - 8 May 2017 online at http://bit.ly/OceanConference for organizations belonging to the following categories: 

- organizations that are in consultative status with ECOSOC; 

- organizations that were accredited to the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development, the 2012 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development and to previous United Nations conferences on sustainable development of small island developing States, held in Barbados, Mauritius and Samoa; 

- organizations that have received special accreditation by Member States to participate in the Conference and the preparatory meeting. For list please see: (chiedere in segreteria). (Please note that the deadline for submitting applications for special accreditation was 22 January 2017 and that applications are no longer accepted). 

Please note that the Ocean Conference Secretariat will be reviewing and approving the pre-registrations on a rolling basis. Once pre-registration has been approved in the online CSO net, the system will generate a letter of confirmation for each approved participant.

Comunicazione del 02.04.2017:

"In accordance with United Nations General Assembly resolution 71/1, the "New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants," a preparatory process will soon begin for the intergovernmental negotiations of a global compact for safe, orderly and regular migration, to be adopted at an intergovernmental conference on international migration in 2018.

As part of the preparatory process, the President of the General Assembly (PGA) will organize a series of informal thematic sessions between April 2017 and November 2017, as well as four days of informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearings between April 2017 and June 2018.

As a first step toward the participation of relevant stakeholders in the process, the PGA has requested UN-NGLS, UN DESA, UN University and UN Global Compact to facilitate a process for non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, diaspora organizations, migrant organizations, academic institutions, and private sector entities that are not in consultative status with UN ECOSOC to apply for special accreditation to the preparatory process.

The deadline for special accreditation of organizations is 9 April 2017. Organizations that are NOT in consultative status with UN ECOSOC that wish to participate in the informal thematic sessions and/or informal interactive multi-stakeholder hearings must apply for special accreditation to the preparatory process using the form: (chiedere in segreteria)
Registration of individual representatives of organizations accredited through this process, as well as representatives of NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC will open shortly. -------------------------
